Biskey Trail Work

Work continues to progress on getting Biskey ready for ski season.  There were a lot of down trees from the July storm.  Here are the details:

White Pine Alley – Cleared trees and branches off of the trail and mowed September 30th.  The trail is now ready for ski season.

Birch Ridge – Cleared trees and branches off of the and mowed September 30th.  The trail is now ready for ski season.

Eagle Ridge and Cut-Off Trail – Cleared trees and branches off of the trail and mowed September 30th.  Cleared off trees on the march area segment and trimmed branches on 2 km of the trail system in the spruce tree areas on October 6th.  The trail is now ready for ski season.

Wolf Run – The logging road from the parking lot to the loop on the end of Wolf Run was not worked on with the exception of trimming some small trees back, but the road itself should be ready for ski season.  The loop at the end of Wolf Run was cleared of trees and branches and mowed on October 6th.  The trail is now ready for ski season.

Pine Meadow – Remains closed indefinitely.

Biskey Pond Loop – Work continues to progress.  The south end of this trail up to the first hole was cleared of trees and branches and mowed on October 6th.  The north end with the large white pine by Biskey Ponds was hit especially badly by the July storm. Work started today on October 7th clearing those trees and branches off of the trail.  Updates to follow.

So, with the exception of Biskey Pond Loop, all trails are ready for ski season.  If you have not been out to the trail system yet this fall, right now is a great time to go for a walk or run and see the fall colors on the newly worked-on trail system!
